A nice make
for a heart shape diamond is a 1:1 ratio. (See
Table and Depth Percentage Formulas ).
A Bow Tie is the reflection of the
facets from the pavilion of a diamond which appears through
the table. It looks like a shadow or dark area in the shape
of a man's bow tie in the center of the Marquise. To eliminate
this effect, special pavilion facets are cut which the industry
calls the "French Culet". |
